Hi and welcome to my blog

After renovating and purchasing my first home in 2009 with my sister Grace at the age of twenty-three, I caught the property bug. Ten years later with we now have a property investment portfolio last valued at around a million pounds. During these years I managed to build upon my knowledge about home renovation, albeit of DIY, and continued to learn about property investment with my husband Giles. Our property portfolio was a success but it was never my main income. I still had a 9-5 job and other side businesses I was pursuing.

Everything changed in 2019, and life hit me hard with a number of knocks. I was out of work, suffered health issues, and tragically lost my sister unexpectedly to cancer. Grace was my business partner, best friend, and mentor so the loss at the time was unbearable.

For the majority of 2020, I was lost. With no job and a lot of downtime due to the pandemic, and the loss of Grace I reflected on my life. Whatever direction I went in, I knew my career had to fit in around my top priorities, which are my family and friends.

Towards the end of 2020, it hit me that property had always brought me happiness and wealth. Managing a property portfolio is nowhere near as stressful, or time-consuming as a 9-5. It gives me total control and flexibility in scheduling events around my family and friends.

This is the first time I am undertaking a major home renovation with my husband Giles who has his own antique business. ‘Christina at home’ is a space for me to share with you our journey. So I hope this little corner of the internet will bring you happiness and wealth too!

With love,
